Living with a 1970 Mustang Collector Car and Going Poor While Learning a Thing or Two

by admin on August 31, 2008

We’re already looking forward to next year.
Candace and I have relied on our 1970 Mustang now for around 8 years. Overall we’ve been thrilled with the car. Our house is in western Kansas, near Easton, and we enjoy touring in the car during the fall months. Our opinion is I’d say it’s an awesome car for the money.

Ever since we bought the Mustang we’ve been behind the wheel. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my wife’s uncle in Ohio several times without any issues. The Mustang does well on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of repair.

The Mustang is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a Cadillac, had plenty of issues and we weren’t unhappy to unload it.

It was made clear to me to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our hagarty antique car insurance we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on car insurance. It’s an authority site for finding the best price on classic car insurance. We insured the Mustang for a sliver of what Nationwide wanted.

The antique car insurance was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a Isuzu. The accident totalled both cars. Our Haggerty insurance agent reached us and let us know the car would be fixed! It was a relief because of our love to the car.

The price of the car has gone up a lot over the past 3 years to our surprise. It’s hard to believe we paid $22,000 for the car back in the early eighties. Now it’s worth at least $50,000! We’ve been offered this much several times this year. My significant other is very excited!

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of cheap Mustangs out there. Buy a Mustang now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.

Auto Auctions Becoming More Common, Accessible

by plrpro on August 31, 2008

car auction houses

As eBay, the online auction service, has grown in size, scope and popularity over the last several years, people have gotten to be more open and accepting of using the auction process to do various types of commerce. And, while there have been auto auctions going on for many decades, the eBay trend has helped to make motor car auctions a convenient way to move all kinds of vehicles, and not just seized and repossessed cars, which used to be the main type of used car auctions.

In general, people who are ready to make an auto purchase love to shop at auctions because they can very often pick up an exceptional deal that they might not have ever been able to get through any other avenue. At the same time, sellers also like selling their products through auctions. Once a prospective buyer makes a decision to bid on an item, even if it is a low bid, they have mentally made the decision that they want the item and they become attached to the idea of owning it. When another bidder comes along, it can be easy for this mindset to translate into a bidding war and often the ultimate price is better than the seller could have hoped for.

The same basic principles are in play in auto auctions and all other types of auction events. In many cases, buyers can secure excellent deals on seized cars at action, particularly if the event is not well attended. When there are many buyers interested in the same auction car, the seller often is able to realize a better profit on the vehicle.

For many years, buying a car through an auction meant that the buyer was purchasing a model from a selection of repossessed cars, or cars that had been seized and were made available through government auctions. There were also many types of specialized car auctions that were not open to the public.

But, today, things have changed considerably and now there are more options than ever in automobile auctions that the public can take advantage of, as well as dealers and other industry insiders. These days it is not unusual for banks, credit unions, and finance companies to hold public car auctions to deal with the growing inventory of repossessed cars that they have on their property. Salvage yards, body shops and auto repair shops are also known to engage the services of car auction houses to help them sell vehicles that have been abandoned or seized because the owner could not pay a repair bill.

There is one key point that bidders need to remember when buying automobiles through auto auctions. All sales are absolutely final and cars are sold “as is.” Buying a car “as is” means that the buyer has no remedy available to them if the car they bought at a used car auction falls apart the minute they slam the door to drive home. If you are bidding on a newer car, then this might not be an issue at all, yet it might be better to let mechanics or dealers bid on the older cars that need work.

Living with a 1973 Porsche Collectible Car and Losing the Inheritance While Blowing a Lot of Gas

by admin on August 30, 2008

Winter is soon upon us.
Elmer and I have had our 1973 Porsche now for I think 6 years. I’m glad to report we’ve been thrilled with the car. The apartment where we live is in western Georgia, near Mora, and we love touring in the car during the spring months. Overall I’d say it’s an awesome toy for the money.

During the time we’ve owned the Porsche we’ve been enjoying it heartily. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my uncle in New Hampshire several times over the year. The Porsche does Ok on gas and has not given us a lot problems in terms of repair.

The Porsche is in good condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a Renault, had plenty of breakdowns and we weren’t depressed to get rid of it.

We made sure we went to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our muscle car insurance we went with a company called Hagerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on classic cars. It’s an awesome resource for finding the best price on specialty car insurance. We insured the Porsche for a sliver of what our regular insurance company wanted.

The car insurance was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a Škoda. The accident totalled both cars. Our Hagerty insurance agent contacted us and let us know the car would be fixed! It was a relief because of our investment to the car.

The worth of the car has gone up a lot over the past few years to our surprise. It’s hard to believe we paid $18,000 for the car back in 1995. Now it’s worth at least $40,000! We’ve been offered this much several times this year. My spouse is very excited!

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of cheap Porsches out there. Buy a Porsche now before the price goes up! You won’t regret it.

PowerShield 2 Year Extended Warranty

by plrpro on August 30, 2008

2 year extended warranty

“I told my wife she was nuts for buying a warranty on the internet,” as told to Warranty Direct James Prendergast. “We had the opportunity to use your warranty coverage for the first time. The repair cost was 70% of what we paid for the warranty and we still have 45,000 miles of coverage. Now she’ll never let me live it down.” While it may seem outrageous to look for warranty deals and impeccable customer service on the internet, thousands of customers have purchased the PowerShield 2 year extended warranty from Warranty Direct with rave reviews.

The first question consumers should ask is, “What parts are covered with my 2 year extended warranty?” With PowerShield, all the traditional “powertrain” components are included: engine, transmission, computer modules and drive axles. Unlike other warranties, Warranty Direct customers will also be covered for timing belts, water pumps, oil pumps, mechanical fuel pumps, CV joints, universal joints, crankshafts, cam shafts, bearings, bushings and more.

Consumers will NOT be covered for “wear and tear” damaged components like: seals, gaskets, valves, batteries, light bulbs, tires, GPS, trim, molding, handles, spark plugs, rotors, brake pads, hoses, drive belts or wheel alignments. At WarrantyDirect.com, there are other new car warranties and used car warranties (up to 7 years/100,000 miles) that cover “wear and tear” damage and all of these parts.

Purchasers of the PowerShield 2 year extended warranty can choose the repair facility of their choice in the US or Canada. Warranty Direct pays for all claims via credit card to make it hassle-free for their customers. There are a choice of deductibles and financing options to help all people afford the service. If customers plan to sell their vehicle, then they can pay a fee to transfer the extended warranty coverage to a new owner, which significantly appreciates the resale value!

Warranty Direct offers a wide variety of coverage options, so consumers should investigate which ones apply to their vehicles. For example, LuxuryCare+ and XtraCare+ coverage is the most comprehensive, which include wear and tear damage, interior/exterior features, rear suspension, anti-lock brakes, cooling and fuel delivery systems. LuxuryCare even includes GPS, DVD video, bluetooth/phone and internet access systems. MajorCare, SecureCare and PowerWrap also cover most of the problems one could run into. Any car 7 years old with mileage 100,000 or less is eligible for these new and used car warranties offered at WarrantyDirect.com. For higher mileage vehicles, consumers must visit Warranty Direct’s other site CarWarranty.com.

True Story: My 1951 Ford in a Cruise-in and Freaking Won

by admin on August 29, 2008

I took a church-sponsored vintage car show here in Hartford, Wisconsin. It was put together by the local Sheriff by the name of Edward Clinton. The Sheriff is a movie fan from way back, having a small part in the film “Gaddaar”. A love of cars was grown slowly.

I entered my 1951 Ford in the show ‘n shine with the hope of getting a trophy. I spent four hours getting the Ford. I had done my car history search on the Ford by going over to classic car VIN site for a check at the accuracy of the car. After considerable research there I found that my Ford was one of a kind!

I entered my car and took first place! | was completely amazed still in shock that my little old Ford had so many people hanging around it. Next year I might go for a national championship.

Living with a 1965 Mustang Vintage Car and Breaking the Bank While Enjoying Your Vacation

by admin on August 28, 2008

I’m sad we’re putting our baby away.
Billie and I have owned our 1965 Mustang now for around 10 years. Truth be told we’ve been thrilled with the car. Our condo is in western Kansas, near Osage City, and we enjoy driving the car during the warmer months. Our opinion is I’d say it’s a particlarly great vehicle for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the Mustang we’ve been enjoying it heartily. We drove to visit my brother in Montana several times over the year. The Mustang does fair on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of service.

The Mustang is in pristine condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past 22 years. Our previous car, a Renault, had plenty of breakdowns and we weren’t sad to scrap it.

The first order of the day was to insure the vehicle. For our vintage car insurance we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It’s an authority site for finding the best offer on specialty car insurance. We insured the Mustang for 30% of what American Family Insurance wanted.

The classic cars was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a SsangYong. The accident totalled both cars. Our Leland-West insurance agent got ahold of us and let us know the car would be gotten back to us without problems! It was a relief because of our fondness to the car.

The worth of the car has gone up a lot over the past three years to our surprise. It’s hard to believe we paid $18,000 for the car back in 1991. Now it’s worth at least $60,000! We’ve been offered this much several times this year. My girlfriend is very excited!

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of good condition Mustangs out there. Buy a Mustang now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.
