Living with a 1967 Firebird Classic Car and not Going Crazy While Enjoying Your Vacation

by admin on September 29, 2008

Time has flown this car-driving season.
Jessica and I have counted on our 1967 Firebird now for almost 9 years. In that time we’ve been content with the car. Our condo is in urban Texas, near Pearland, and we love driving in the car during the summer months. Our opinion is I’d say it’s a great ride for the money.

From the day we picked up the Firebird we’ve been enjoying it heartily. We took it out for a spin to see my aunt in Arizona several times over the year. The Firebird does well on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of maintenance.

The Firebird is in fine condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past twenty years. Our previous car, a Ford, had plenty of issues and we weren’t depressed to see it go.

The first order of the day was to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our muscle car insurance we went with a company called Sneed Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on old cars. It’s an awesome resource for finding the best price on insurance for classic cars. We insured the Firebird for a sliver of what State Farm wanted.

The antique car insurance was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a Ferrari. The accident totalled both cars. Our Sneed Insurance insurance agent got ahold of us and let us know the car would be fixed! It was a relief because of our fondness to the car.

The price of the car has gone up a lot over the past 3 years to our surprise. It’s hard to believe we paid $13,000 for the car back in 1995. Now it’s worth at least $32,000! We’ve been offered this much several times this year. My girlfriend is very excited!

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of excellent Firebirds out there. Buy a Firebird now before the price goes up! You won’t regret it.
