Gov Auctions Review – Online Government Car Auctions Site

by plrpro on January 31, 2009

If you have an Internet connection you can see a full list of available government auto auctions if you enter the Gov-Auctions website.

This is no special website even if they are very well-documented and offer many interesting features for their subscribers and members. But there´s a great thing about it and that is the hard work that the team puts up in order to pot the latest auctions available in the US.

This is very difficult considering that there are states that register more auctions than others. This difference is mainly cased by the state´s population and by the number of collected cars.

According to its developers, Gov-Auctions is a very complex website that provides the best information on government-seized properties and automobiles.

This is more than a sales page and you´ll see that right away. It deals with the problems caused by car auction sites and it reacts on fake reviews posted on other websites. The entire team behind it is trying to prove that their work is not in vain.

Considering all that and after analyzing a few other website you´ll notice that they are above the average when it comes to honesty and that´s why they´re considered to be trustworthy.

On the website you´ll be able to view their wide range of services and see what each one can do for you but these features are pretty well hidden and you might have some trouble finding them in the first place

Gov Auctions offers you the possibility to start an online search with latest cars sold through auctions but they forgot to mention that these cars weren´t sold here but on other sites.

They are a little bit fuzzy about presenting things but that can be caused by the huge amount of information that´s being added on regular basis. Even so they should do something in order to solve this problem.

Gov-Auction offers you a full list of auctions for every state in the US with complete details about getting involves and bidding in it.

Click on a state and you´ll se a list of every auction available. The list includes detailed information on location, city, phone number, status and much more. That´s pretty much all you need to know about an auction.

In addition to all that you´ll find many other auction sites listed here and categorized.
You just have to click on the link and you´ll enter what auction site you want (private or government-owned). Also, there´s a list of Federal Auto Auctions available for viewing.
Registration is very easy. Once you pay the $35 fee you have access to the member area. The 5-days e-course is located on the right side of the website right next to the ebook on how to avoid speeding tickets.

Also here you can find a few other important links for HUD, USDA and USPS (all of them are special auctions).

The states are located in the middle of the page and you can see the auction site for each of them only by clicking once on the name.

Gov-Auctions website features a nice and simple layout and it´s the best place for people to start looking for cars or properties.

The best thing about it is that it has updated listings and simultaneous features. The site is available only for US and that´s pretty obvious considering that it is a governmental website.

Gov-Auctions covers every US state and provides several links to other important sites that work with the Government. The most important thing is that the database is being updated on regular basis.

The downside is that Gov-Auctions are not that different from other sites as the developers want to believe. They won´t let you search their database directly, place your bid and make the transaction on the site. In order to complete this process you have to use other websites as well.

Anyone can visit the Gov-Auctions website and find a list of other interesting websites connected with the Government in one way or another. It´s like a portal for people´s properties and cars auctions.

If you are looking to buy cheap seized cars from government auto auctions, check out gov auctions. Check out my Gov Auctions review and learn how to buy seized cars at 90% off retail prices.

Ditch the gas guzzler, go solar powered!

by plrpro on January 31, 2009

In todays current climate we all have to consider cutting down on luxuries etc, one large proportion of our monthly budgets goes towards the cost of fuel we put in our cars. This makes it so important to have a motor that gets you the most mileage for your money. With fuel efficient cars being the future of tomorrow we have several more options than we did even five years ago.  There are several types of fuel efficient cars you might want to consider two in particular are the Citroen and Peugeot. Both these vehicles are available in the UK with several good deals.

A lot of fuel efficient cars are run on diesel.A diesel engine is apt to be more economical on fuel consumption per mile. Many diesel engines offer an average of at least 30 miles or more to the gallon. That is significant if you have a 13 gallon tank.It is possible to achieve 400 miles out of a tank of fuel.

A Volkswagen beetle or the Jetta are also highly fuel efficient motors.A VW beetle can get an average of about 27 miles per gallon. That is quite a lot considering trucks and other cars weigh in at 20 to 25 miles per gallon.

However the most fuel efficient car must be the hybrid.A hybrid will use solar power to make the vehicle drive. The engine uses the solar power and keep recycling the power for as long as the sun is appearing. The fuel in these cars is for powering the engines solar power system as well as for driving when the solar power has been exhausted.Electric vehicles are the same. You have fuel just in case you run out of electricity to convert to power. In some of these vehicles you can travel more than 30 miles, sometimes even over 100 miles without using more than a couple of gallons of fuel. This equates to hours of driving without needing to top the car up up with fuel.

The prices of the fuel efficient car is coming down.  They are definately becoming more affordable.  The Prius is one of the most sought after hybrids. The mileage and comfort of this car is amazing. When looking for a new car then fuel efficiency must surely be a large consideration!

1968 Was a Good Year For Audi : Or Cruising Again in My Classic Car

by admin on January 31, 2009

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of excellent Audis out there. Buy a Audi now before the price goes up! You won’t regret it.

Time has flown this car-driving season.
Charles and I have relied on our 1968 Audi now for probably 10 years. In that time we’ve been content with the car. The condo is in lower Texas, near Borger, and we enjoy touring in the car during the fall months. Our opinion is I’d say it’s a stunning car for the money.

From the day we picked up the Audi we’ve been enjoying it heartily. We drove to visit my wife’s relatives in Oregon several times without any issues. The Audi does poorly on gas and has not given us a lot problems in terms of service.

The Audi is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past 22 years. Our previous car, a Fiat, had plenty of problems and we weren’t unhappy to sell it off.

It was stressed to me to insure the vehicle. For our haggerty classic car insurance we went with a company called Hagerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It’s an authority site for finding the lowest cost on hot rod insurance. We insured the Audi for a sliver of what Geico wanted.

We’ve very happy with our Audi. While 1968 was a long time ago, our car helps us redo those days.

1971 Was a Good Year For El Dorado : Or Getting Dirty in My Classic Car

by admin on January 30, 2009

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of quality El Dorados out there. Buy a El Dorado now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.

I’m sad we’re putting our baby away.
Robert and I have depended on our 1971 El Dorado now for probably seven years. In that time we’ve been living well with the car. The climate is fair in rural Wisconsin, near Schofield, and we love driving in the car during the spring months. My opinion is I’d say it’s an awesome toy for the money.

Ever since we bought the El Dorado we’ve been behind the wheel. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my college roommate in Florida numerous times with no problems whatsoever. The El Dorado does poorly on gas and has not given us many issues in terms of maintenance.

The El Dorado is in driving condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past 18 years. Our previous car, a Citroën, had plenty of heartaches and we weren’t unhappy to sell it off.

We made sure we went to get insurance on the vehicle. For our classic car insurance we went with a company called CHROME Specialty Car Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on car insurance. It’s a great web site for finding the best price on muscle car insurance. We insured the El Dorado for a fraction of what Nationwide wanted.

I don’t regret for a minute buying our El Dorado. While 1971 was ages ago, our car helps us redo those bygone days.

My wife and I Entered the 1951 Jeep in a Regional Competition and Never Saw It Coming

by admin on January 30, 2009

My friend and I entered a church-sponsored show and shine here in Ford, Kansas. It was put together by the local city elder by the name of Neithan Nieves. The city elder is a film freak from way back, having a small part in the film “E s 3″. A love of cars was grown slowly.

I entered my 1951 Jeep in the show ‘n shine with the dream of winning first place. I spent quite a bit of time getting the Jeep. I had done my research on the Jeep by going over to vin number checker for a check at the accuracy of the car. Because of the detailed data there I found that my Jeep was very rare!

I entered my car and took first place! | was completely shocked that my little old Jeep drew so much attention. Next year will be even bigger.

Seeking redemption. 2009 BMW Z4 roadster.

by plrpro on January 30, 2009

This is the model many hope will bring BWM back to its glory days as the leader in admirable car design and sex appeal. Sure Chris Bangle’s vision of designs might have been misunderstood. Perhaps the designs were too futuristic, too sophisticated and too sexy in a way that confused an average BWM fan. The cars still delivered on the promise of “Sheer Driving Pleasure” the only issue being the driver wished dearly for better looks.

Well, the biggest talking point about the new Z4 will whether there has been an improvement to its predecessor. Is the car good looking? Difficult to tell at a first glance. The design is still faithful to the original Z4 by continuing with the shark nose theme together with very masculine styling. One cannot say immediately that the car is good looking.

Which is a good thing because there is just a lot depth to the design of the Z4 which needs careful observation for it to be fully appreciated. The Z4 is on track to being a timeless beauty. It will be still cool to buy this car long after the hype has subsided.  BMW is really being themselves by venturing into uncharted design territory with the new Z4, just like they did with the previous model. Only this time they seem to have thought carefully about what people will say. Lately the Z4 is making every effort to be likable.

The new design is more like the story of sweet and sour of any favourite food. Sweet and sour desert. BMW have managed well to combine elegance and aggressiveness by blending the conservative front with the sporty lines that flow all the way to the rear. The front looks more like a Mercedes CL coupe while the rest of the body paying tribute to the original Z4. The back seems to be a misfit for the rest of the body maybe because of the largish, shark like front. Modesty is also found in the interior which could be yet another sign that BMW are playing it very safe.

The new car will be propelled by straight 6 engines  and BMW is now coming up with an unusually naming convention for their engines. There will be the sDrive23i (2.5 litre/150kw) followed by the sDrive30i (3litlre/190kw). The will also be a turbocharged version sDrive35i which produces (3 litre/225kw). The new comer is quite quick off the mark too with times to 100 km (60 mph) ranging between 6 and 5 depending on engine size off course.

Other minor points that work in favour of the Z4 are that it is bigger (5.8 inches longer) and partly because of the new aluminium hard top which closes down in a whooping 20 seconds. The iDrive makes a return and BMW claims the interface is much friendlier.

Is this a winner? Difficult one as a lot of BMW fans lost faith during the previous wave of designs. Jugded solely on engineering this car should be near perfect if not extrodinary. Sadly many buyers will still keep a grudge from the previous design. Critics will be cautious to jump onto praising the new looks but the more they critisise, they more they will like.

Vauxhall Corsa - The Stylish Choice

by plrpro on January 30, 2009

Let’s be very frank and honest about this; Vauxhall is hardly a ‘glamourous’ brand. For as long as I can remember they have been churning out cars that have been…well…a bit underwhelming. The engineers at Vauxhall may be adept at producing comfortable, well performing and reasonably priced vehicles, but they’re hardly setting anyone’s world on fire are they? that is, until now…Enter the new Vauxhall Corsa.

Ok, you can stop cringing and come from behind the sofa; I’m not going to build the Corsa up to be a Zonda F or Lamborghini Gallardo, as it is clearly not. What Vauxhall have done though, is inject some much needed ‘ZING’ into their entry level vehicle. The old Corsa resembled a shoebox on wheels and had all the cool points and street credit of a purple satin turtleneck. A few carefully designed changes to the bodywork and all of a sudden Vauxhall have created one of the more stylish looking superminis available.

The Corsa comes with a choice of engine options running the gamut from the meek and rather too placid 1.0 3 cylinder to the growling 1.6 Turbo VXR, the latter being something of a boy racer’s fantasy. The popularity of the Corsa has some minor drawbacks however. Due to the size, responsive handling, chic looks and cheap running costs, the Corsa has been adopted as the driving teacher’s car of choice. With leading driving school BSM operating a fleet of thousands of Corsas, you’ll be hard pushed to go for a drive in your Corsa without getting stuck behind another Corsa with a big trapezoid with a ‘L’ on top of it. Thus the illusion of cool is mortally ruptured and you end up feeling like a bit of a fool.

The snowball effect aside, you cannot deny that the Corsa probably deserves its popularity. It has taken on the Ford Fiesta, VW Polo and Fiat Panda as the new driver’s first car and is putting up a valiant fight. The current market for superminis has found itself in a state of saturation recently, with almost every car manufacturer vying for the precious profit to be made from entry-level vehicles. The Corsa was the 4th bestselling car in the United Kingdom in 2007 (shifting 94,120 units in the UK) and has consistently been in the top 10 selling cars list since its introduction in 1993; quite an achievement in anyone’s book.

My own personal experience of the Corsa comes in the 1.3 CDTi. En route I felt as though I was encapsulated within a welcoming bubble, enjoying the comfort of the seats and the high driving position. The plastics all felt rigid and of good quality, the only drawback being the stubby indicators which are as responsive as a dead camel. The central console’s screen was clear and concise, even though it shared a differing opinion to the speedometer regarding my velocity; only a minor irritation and nothing to detract from the driving experience too much.

The engine was punchy without being overly-erratic, though it has to be said that it did often make a lot of noise without actually achieving very much…but I guess that’s typical of smaller diesel engines. The engine was also ecologically sound, producing around 57 mpg, which is not only a relief to the consumer, but also the planet. The gearbox was relatively smooth, though often refused to go into third without me resorting to violently aggressive manoeuvres.

The Vauxhall Corsa is ideally suited to those amongst us who want to feel very much a part of the driving experience, rather than just a passenger. The car seems to have been designed to be a relaxing drive, but jolts you every now and then to remind you where you are. The race for the ultimate supermini hatch is still a race worth running, though it is refreshing that not everyone is automatically heading to their local Ford dealer. Now let’s all rejoice in free market capitalism and the consumers right to choose.

Individuality is Over-rated – Buy a Used Ford Focus by Pete Ridgard

by plrpro on January 29, 2009

At any one time, in any city of the United Kingdom you care to choose, at least one hundred thousand drivers will be slightly irritated by the intermittent beep of the Ford Focus’ ‘the door is open’ / ’you haven’t done up your seat belt’ / ‘it’s a bit cold outside’ tone. They may also be bored to tears with the bland interior, the lacklustre plastics and the general feeling of 'greyness' that overcomes any Focus owner. So why on Earth do people keep shelling out their hard-earned money for them?

Ford’s tradition for outselling the competition has slipped slightly on an international scale. The Ford dynasty now sits 4th in the table of highest selling car manufacturers behind Toyota, General Motors and Volkswagen despite holding second place for something close to a million years. This has probably got more to do with globalisation, out-sourcing and recession as opposed to Ford making a colossal mistake. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting statistic considering that the Ford Focus is abundant on every street in the entire country!

When walking through town, variations of a Focus theme will be seen anything up to one hundred times a minute. I use the term ‘variation on the Focus theme’ as Ford have pulled the oldest car engineering trick out of the bag; by adding a couple of letters to the Focus badge, you can release a new edition and extend the car’s lifespan limitlessly. Nobody actually knows (or cares) what “Zetec”, “ST”, or “C-MAX” actually means, but they continue to buy the Focus in droves. Their only concern is the £12 Smoker's Pack.

The reason why Used Ford Focus’ outnumbers people by at least nine to one in this country is a relatively simple twofold paradigm; the Focus provides quality and value for money. In many ways it is the automotive equivalent of a plague; popping up in a stealthy manner, hoping no one will notice that it is slowly taking over the world.

In these economically dire times, the public are demanding the best possible vehicle for the lowest possible price. The days of affluence, reckless spending and an insistence on remaining de rigeur at all times are long gone. Here to stay are the days of huddling round a solitary burning coal for warmth, eating cold beans to save on energy bills and wearing your grandmother’s hand-me-downs because you can no longer afford a decent pair of jeans.

So while we’re irretrievably sinking beneath the gloomy waters of a global recession, why not drive a car that is great quality for money, cheap to maintain and the best performer for its class? It may not be exciting…or uber-stylish, but it's the best your depleted bank account will yield. The 1.8 Petrol and 2.0 Diesel also better 50 mpg so it’s an ecologically sound vehicle as well.

For me, however, the Focus is at its best when you put it to the test. I was glad to scare my passengers whilst driving around Cheshire in a Focus.6 Zetec (a relatively standard model). I was pleasantly surprised by how the Focus handled the corners as my mother screamed on the back seat. I laughed as the engine roared from 0-60 in less than ten seconds, whilst my father put his hand over his eyes and wept. I simply laughed as the Focus slalomed round the wooded scenery whilst my dog howled in terror. The point is; as the driver I never once felt like I was not completely in control. My passengers were in fear of their lives, but I was as calm and collected as could be.

For less than £10,000 you will easily be able to find a used Focus, with great spec and much better performance than its closest competitors (Citroen C4, Vauxhall Astra and the Volkswagen Golf). So in true form, Ford have manufactured a car that won’t ever be considered ‘cool’, ‘hip’ or any other trendy adjective you choose to bandy about, but what they have done is create a car for the masses. The Ford Focus is a success that speaks for itself.

How To Get Cars To Run On Water – HHO Powered Cars

by plrpro on January 29, 2009

´Cars run on water´ sounds weird, doesn´t it? People say it is impossible. But it is actually possible. It is not by diluting the gasoline, nothing is getting mixed here. This car has a conversion kit right beside the engine.

The purpose of this converter is to split the water molecule into oxygen and hydrogen gas molecules. That is H2O is getting split up resulting in gas HHO. Next, this gas is introduced into a combustion chamber. The car thus run on this, leads to a better combustion. Such cars can be called as water-fuelled cars.

Water-fuelled automobiles have already been discussed in some history books, few science magazines and news papers since 1800s. Many books describe engines which can run on water.
A water fuelled car is one hypothetical motor car which utilizes water as fuel and produces energy from the water onboard without any energy input. It purports to extract or create energy from the water itself. This is the basis in a perpetual-motion machine.

It is not related to a steam engine which uses water for transmission of energy from any of the heat sources to the turbine or pistons that perform the job of rotating the engine. It is not even linked to the crower-six stroke that adds few additional strokes to a regular internal engine of combustion.

It is neither related to the water injection process which is usually a method used for cooling combustion chambers by adding up water to incoming air and fuel mixture which in turn allows higher compression ratios with comparatively low engine knocking (detonation).
It is not similar to a hydrogen car where in to fuel it from water, the energy is used from a power plant to generate hydrogen gas through electrolysis.

It works on chemical energy content of water. The combustion of few conventional fuels like petrol or gasoline, coal, wood, etc., results in formation of substances with comparatively low energy.

Natural chemical processes or reactions don´t create energy. It is released by forming stable bonds from unstable bonds. Water is one such chemical abundant in nature since it has stable bonds which resist many reactions.

Theoretically it is possible to extract all energy from water by the process of nuclear fusion. Currently, we don´t have any commercially available goods based on the above technologies. Several have already been produced in courts but they have been fraudulently used for investment funds.

Inventors of the water-fuelled engines say that this technology has already been put into use but it was suppressed by international conventional-fuel suppliers like oil companies.

Ozzie Freedom Water4Gas is a guide that will show you how to convert your car to run on water. The process is simple and Water4Gas will show you step by step how to do it. Read my Water4Gas review and learn how you can start saving money on gas today.
