Buying a new car is not a small decision, especially now when times are hard and money is tight. There is a seemingly neverending supply of different vehicles to choose from, not to mention all the different ways you can pay. Of course you want to make sure you’re always getting the best deal, but sometimes it can be hard to find your way around the minefield that is the car market, and sort the good deals from the bad ones.
Because buying a car doesn’t have to be about paying all that money at once and settling for whichever is the best car you can afford. There are other options like leasing or contract hire, which usually mean you can get a better car for less money. So if you always fancied a Mercedes but didn’t think you’d ever be able to afford it, Mercedes car leasing could mean that you could walk away with your dream car right away, and pay it off in affordable instalments over an agreed period.
But finding the cheapest deals is not always that simple. Leasing companies offer a huge range of different options and if you want to get the most out of your contract it’s important to know exactly what you want. A straightforward lease deal takes the total cost of the car, taking your projected mileage and usage into consideration, and splits it up into equal monthly payments. At the end of the lease period, once the total value of the car has been paid, ownership of the car normally passes to the customer. Whether your dream car is that Mercedes, an Audi or a BMW, car leasing gives you a wider choice of vehicles that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford outright.
An alternative to leasing is to enter into a contract hire arrangement. The main difference between contract hire and leasing is that the customer does not own the vehicle at any point but insead pays a fixed monthly hire fee, again calculated from the total worth of the car, the estimated future cost, and projected useage. This option is often preferred by those looking for business vehicles as most deals have servicing and maintenance costs included in the monthly fee, so there’s no danger of getting hit with large bills if anything goes wrong. At the end of the contract period ownership does not usually pass to the customer but if you renew the contract there is the option of upgrading to a newer model, again making this the perfect option for people looking for commercial cars or vans. A private owner might prefer a car they can call their own but there are personal contract hire deals available, as well as contract purchase deals. With contract purchase you get to wait until the contract ends to decide whether or not to keep the car, for a previously agreed cost based on the car’s value for resale.

If you love the James Bond films and are fascinated by the gadgets that are involved like covert cameras, multi purpose watches or night vision goggles, then you will have to take a visit to Keswick.
A new James Bond museum is set for it’s grand opening on April 5th. The new museum has a collection of over 25 vehicles and a wide range of collectibles from the Bond films which have all been collected by Peter Nelson, a film fan from Keswick.
The film buff said that he has been collecting the vehicles and memorabilia for over 20 years and now his collection of over 25 vehicles consists of cars, motorbikes, submarines and speedboats.
Some of the spy gadgets and vehicles have been donated by actors that stared in the 007 films, however, Mr Nelson also bought some of them, including the gun from the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun which he bought in an auction. This is just an example of the type of gadgets, collectibles and vehicles that will be shown at the opening of the museum.
Mr Nelsone has said that his favorite film of the 22 is Goldfinger, this is because it has the Aston Martin DB5 in it which features a huge ranges of gadgets.
The museum has already attracted a large amount of attention, and by the sounds of the items that will be on display, it’s understandable. People from all around the world have contacted Mr Nelson to give their support and say that they will be visiting to see the huge selection of vehicles and gadgets on display.
During the grand opening, a statue of Albert Brocolli, the man who produced many of the Bond films, will be unveiled. The planned open date for the new museum is to co-incide with the 100th anniversary of Brocolli’s birth.

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of good priced Porsches out there. Buy a Porsche now before the price goes up! You won’t regret it.
I’m sad we’re putting our baby away.
Rachel and I have depended on our 1971 Porsche now for probably three years. I’m glad to report we’ve been very happy with the car. We live in western Iowa, near Sidney, and we love driving the car during the warmer months. Our opinion is I’d say it’s a stunning toy for the money.
From the day we picked up the Porsche we’ve been all over the country. We took it out for a spin to see my uncle in Georgia many times with no problems whatsoever. The Porsche does Ok on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of repair.
The Porsche is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past 23 years. Our previous car, a Saturn, had plenty of headaches and we weren’t unhappy to get rid of it.
It was important to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our insurance for antique car we went with a company called Sneed Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It’s an awesome resource for finding the best price on classic car insurance. We insured the Porsche for 50% of what Nationwide wanted.
We’ve very happy with our Porsche. While 1971 was ages ago, our car helps us redo those days.

New Hybrid Car: Is It Worthwhile?
If you’ve already considered the option of buying a new hybrid car, you’ll be happy to know that there are many advantages to look forward to. Most people already know that a hybrid car is run on both fuel and electrical power, which reduces the amount of gas you’ll need. But there are some more benefits you should be aware of.
Fuel Efficiency
The first thing that comes to mind when you decide to purchase a new hybrid car is the fuel cost savings. Being able to run your car on battery power instead of gasoline to get around the city means that you save on fuel consumption can travel around more economically. An electrical motor also requires no energy when it’s idling, which means it simply switches off when you don’t need it.
New hybrid car technology is always being improved upon with each passing year so you can expect to cut costs by gaining even greater fuel economy.
Weight Reduction
New hybrid cars in general are even lighter than their gas-powered counterparts. This has the benefit of increasing energy efficiency even further because it requires less energy to mobilize a hybrid car.
Less Emissions Means a Greener Earth
Carbon emissions are extremely bad for the environment. In larger cities, air pollution is the main cause for many respiratory and health problems and can even make your allergies worse. A battery powered motor produces no carbon gases so by owning new hybrid car, you’re greatly helping the environment by lowering smog levels significantly.
Environmentally Friendly
{The sheer number of cars on our roads contributes enormously to the damage we’re doing to our planet. The large number of vehicles on our roads is gradually damaging the planet.} Driving a hybrid car can help to offset some of the damage by helping to keep carbon emissions low. Another major benefit to owning a new hybrid car is that you’re helping to lower the high demand for fossil fuel.
Self-Charging Batteries
When your hybrid car brakes or runs on gas mode your batteries are recharging themselves. The alternator actually helps to generate more power to be stored back in your car’s batteries while you drive.
Tax Incentives
In the beginning the price of a new hybrid car might appear to be higher than that of a traditional gasoline powered car, but there are some things that help to offset this cost. Aside from the obvious fuel-cost savings, for US hybrid owners there are a range of tax incentives available to help you make your decision to switch to a more economically and environmentally friendly mode of transport.

Starting a business can be a precarious endeavour, requiring initial sizeable investment, long days trying to get the business off the ground and a lot of calls from the bank manager. Depending on the nature of the business one of the most expensive initial outgoings is likely to be vehicles, especially if you require a fleet of light commercial vehicles. Finding space in the budget for enough money to purchase enough vehicles is a very frightening prospect before your balance sheet even shows a profit. There is a solution available that can help alleviate some of this initial pressure and supply you, the business owner, with a viable and cost-effective solution; contract hire.
Contract Hire allows you to be more in control of your initial outgoings by providing you with all the vehicles you need on a payment scheme that will suit the size and structure of your business. Like finance from a dealership, you will be able to work through a series of payment plans and make a judgement as to which one is likely to suit your accounts best. By correctly forecasting your monthly income, you should be able to set up a workable finance scheme that will allow you to start seeing immediate profitability from the scheme allowing you to concentrate on your services rather than your vehicles.
Days Contract Hire have been providing such business solutions for many years now and have built up an enviable reputation in the industry as a trustworthy, family-run business. They are backed by an independent but financially safecompany, which will ensure that your investment is safe in these economically shakey times. They offer a series of finance options including Contract Hire, Lease Purchase, Rental and Personal Contract Hire. Whatever your needs regarding fleet contract hire, Days Contract Hire are a commercially prudent choice.
When you arrange a contract lease with Days Contract Hire, you are assigned a personal Account Executive, who will deal directly with you every time you need to contact them. The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of good priced Thunderbirds out there. Buy a Thunderbird now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.
Winter is soon upon us.
Beth and I have owned our 1972 Thunderbird now for just about ten years. In that time we’ve been happy with the car. The apartment where we live is in southern Missouri, near West Alton, and we enjoy touring in the car during the fall months. Overall I’d say it’s a stunning toy for the money.
From the day we picked up the Thunderbird we’ve been enjoying it heartily. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my sister in Mississippi several times without any issues. The Thunderbird does great on gas and has not given us alot issues in terms of service.
The Thunderbird is in perfect shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past several years. Our previous car, a Abarth, had plenty of issues and we weren’t depressed to get rid of it.
It was important to insure the vehicle. For our haggerty classic car insurance we went with a company called DeMarey Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It’s a great web site for finding the lowest cost on collector car insurance. We insured the Thunderbird for a quarter of what American Family Insurance wanted.
I don’t regret for a minute buying our Thunderbird. While 1972 was a long time ago, our car helps us enjoy those bygone days.
