1973 Was a Good Year For VW : Or Getting Dirty in My Vintage Auto

by admin on January 2, 2009

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of good priced VWs out there. Buy a VW now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.

Nothing prepared us for how much fun we’ve had.
Winfred and I have relied on our 1973 VW now for around five years. Overall we’ve been living well with the car. We live in southern New Hampshire, near Dover, and we enjoy driving the car during the summer months. Overall I’d say it’s a great toy for the money.

During the time we’ve owned the VW we’ve been behind the wheel. We took it out for a spin to see our mother in Ohio numerous times over the year. The VW does great on gas and has not given us a lot issues in terms of repair.

The VW is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a Maybach, had plenty of issues and we weren’t depressed to unload it.

We made sure we went to get insurance on the vehicle. For our hagerty classic car insurance we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on classic cars. It’s an awesome resource for finding the best deal on insurance for collector cars. We insured the VW for a sliver of what Nationwide wanted.

It was a good investment purchasing our VW. While 1973 was a long time ago, our car helps us redo those bygone days.

1967 Was a Good Year For Cougar : Or Getting Dirty in My Vintage Auto

by admin on January 2, 2009

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of good priced Cougars out there. Buy a Cougar now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.

Time has flown this car-driving season.
Brandon and I have owned our 1967 Cougar now for probably seven years. Truth be told we’ve been happy with the car. Our house is in upper Alabama, near Deer Park, and we love driving the car during the hotter months. Overall I’d say it’s a stunning car for the money.

Ever since we bought the Cougar we’ve been on the road. We took it out for a spin to see our brother in Vermont many times with no problems whatsoever. The Cougar does poorly on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of maintenance.

The Cougar is in rare form, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 18 years. Our previous car, a Rolls-Royce, had plenty of headaches and we weren’t depressed to get rid of it.

It was very important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our classic car insurance for young drivers in usa we went with a company called American Hobbyist Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It’s a cool place for finding the lowest cost on classic car insurance. We insured the Cougar for 50% of what State Farm wanted.

We’ve very happy with our Cougar. While 1967 was a completely different age for cars, our car helps us relive those days.

Living with a 1965 Oldsmobile Collectible Car and Traveling the Country While Blowing a Lot of Gas

by admin on January 1, 2009

We’re already looking forward to next year.
Minnie and I have lived with our 1965 Oldsmobile now for probably 5 years. In that time we’ve been living well with the car. The condo is in southern Illinois, near Sumner, and we love touring in the car during the hotter months. My opinion is I’d say it’s a particlarly great vehicle for the money.

From the day we picked up the Oldsmobile we’ve been driving up a storm. We drove to visit my wife’s aunt in Kansas several times over the year. The Oldsmobile does Ok on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of service.

The Oldsmobile is in rare form, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past 18 years. Our previous car, a Xiali, had plenty of problems and we weren’t sad to see it go.

We made sure we went to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our car insurance for an antique car we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on car insurance. It’s an awesome resource for finding the best offer on car insurance. We insured the Oldsmobile for 50% of what State Farm wanted.

The car insurance was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a Lamborghini. The accident totalled both cars. Our Haggerty insurance agent reached us and let us know the car would be fixed! It was a relief because of our investment to the car.

The price of the car has gone up a lot over the past 3 years to our surprise. It’s hard to believe we paid $13,000 for the car back in 1991. Now it’s worth at least $33,000! We’ve been offered this much several times this year. My spouse is very excited!

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don’t hesitate, there’s a world of cheap Oldsmobiles out there. Buy a Oldsmobile now before the price goes up! You won’t be sorry.

My wife and I Entered the 1967 AMX in a Car Show and Took First Place

by admin on January 1, 2009

My friend and I entered a club run car show here in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri. It was organized by the local city elder by the name of Tim Tatum. The city elder is a car fanatic from way back, having a small part in the film “B B 30″. A love of cars was fostered slowly.

I entered my 1967 AMX in the cruise with the hope of winning first place. I spent 2 hours getting the AMX. I had done my research on the AMX by going over to decode this for a check at the accuracy of the car. After considerable research there I found that my AMX was a collector car!

I couldn’t believe it…my car won first place! | was completely shocked that my little old AMX was so well received. Next year I might go for a national championship.

Save Energy, Choose Electric!

by plrpro on January 1, 2009

An electric hybrid car is a vehicle that runs relying on two systems: the conventional one everyone knows using propulsion, and the new technology one using energy that is stored and that can be recharged. Similar to the goal of many motors scooters, the purpose of such a vehicle is to save as much gas as possible. The energy recharging device of the electric hybrid car is superior because more energy can be created and stored either through the regenerative braking system or through internal combustion and the electrical generator. This power is either stored in the battery or simply sent to the electric motor that is responsible for setting the vehicle into motion. The motor of such a car is much smaller than that of a regular fuel vehicle and thus, the car is more efficient.

Many users vouch for the electric hybrid car along with its manufacturers as it is most efficient especially urban use when there are lots of stops and gos. The engine consumes less thanks to a triple recharging system. A first function or element in the system is responsible for the reduction of the waste. A second process captures the breaking kinetic force and sends it to the battery. The third aspect that makes the electric hybrid car more fuel efficient is that it depends on a smaller internal combustion engine while adding power from the electric motor to compensate.

A lower noise level is another major achievement of the electric hybrid car. The electric motor is more silent than the internal combustion one which works great for both us and the environment. Protests against noise reduction do exist since people claim that the risk of getting hit when crossing the street is higher when you don’t hear the car coming.

Finally, the electric hybrid car models contribute to reducing gas emissions that pollute our air and our cities. The less pollution, the less numerous the cases of lung disease. Going green is a major topic of conversation, but the car industry is far from maximizing its production potential in this respect. The electric hybrid car should be ruling our industry and should in time be replaced by even more advanced technologies that eliminate the use of fuel and the release of toxic fumes into our atmosphere. We should begin considering the electric hybrid car as the more recent ancestor of what the near future holds in store for us.

On the downside, of course, is the cost. Not just the cost of purchase, but also the cost of production. For those looking to be environmentally friendly while decreasing costs, the absolute lowest-cost solution is to choose from a selection of cheap scooters.

Which Is The Best Hybrid Car

by plrpro on January 1, 2009

Which is the best hybrid car ever made so far? Who can point to a hybrid vehicle and say this is the best hybrid car? Well, if you really want to make a difference, let me tell you this is something specialists can aim at. Just think about the competition in the car industry. Each and every car maker has one important goal in their range of activity, namely to create better green vehicles, and hopefully the best hybrid car.

Several factors indicate the candidates for the title of “best hybrid car” but with an ever changing market, chances are that the first position will not always be occupied by the same model. Fuel consume efficiency, horsepower, price of the car, design and utilities are just a few of the criteria by which to appreciate and give a rating to a hybrid car model.

The concern for the fuel consume efficiency of the best hybrid car is normal given the ever increasing oil price and the pressure put on the environment by toxic emissions. Well a hybrid car first and foremost aims at reducing fuel consume. Hence the best hybrid car, from this perspective at least, should be functioning more on electric power than on gas, and even when the regular engine is in function, the average gas need should be lower than that of a regular car.

Regardless of the combination of battery and engine, the best hybrid car needs to achieve a gas consume that makes the initial investment worth making. Some of the best hybrid car projects, in this line of thought, are Toyota Prius and Honda Civic, that have systems with high fuel economy rates thanks to the contribution of the electric motor.

Statistically speaking, the size is another factor to differentiate between the aspirants to the title of “best hybrid car”. Thus, you might be interested in the best hybrid car in the small, town-use category, or maybe the mid-size hybrid sedans are more suitable for your needs. Though luxury hybrid cars are far more costly and difficult to maintain, there is a special market segment they address.

Depending on personal subjective preferences, the best hybrid car is bought after learning some technicalities from the green line of car production too. Therefore, remember that equipment changes cost, the same way the possible charging repair, and the warranty loss do. Clarifications are necessary for other technical features, but that is the expert’s call.

The Need for a New Car

by plrpro on January 1, 2009

We are in the midst of a full blown credit crunch, yet people are still wanting to have the most extravagant new cars under there belts. No matter how poor someone is they always want the best car.

Let’s have a look at a few reasons why people love cars so much and why they have to make themselves struggle to drive in luxury.

Social Pressure
This is probably one of the main reasons why people are buying brand new cars. What is worse than going out in an old banger and then watching your closest friends or a family member using a top of the range vehicle. People do not want to show people they are finding it hard, so they splash out to show everyone how succesful they are.

Being Proud
A lot of persons want to buy a new vehicle to show off, they love all the attention they get from having people look at them when they stop next to traffic lights or pull up in a busy area.

Speed
Some people love vehicles that go fast, they know that by buying a new car, it will ultimately fill there thirst for driving at fast speeds. New vehicles run a lot faster. Even diesel vehicles are quite fast these days.

Relaxation
A lot of people just buy a new vehicle simply for the relaxation factor. This is 100% true if people are travelling long distances. They want to relax and have all of the latest technologies that are open.

Collectors
Some people are quite lucky to be well off, these people tend to have a habit of just buying new cars and collecting them, they usually end up sitting in the drive and then get sold off after a few years. But to the buyer it does not really matter as they have the money to effectively feed their collection habit.

There is nothing wrong with buying a new car; I myself tend always look at new vehicles. But make sure that you have the right finances in place to actually afford the vehicle as if not you will probably end up getting yourself into a lot of debt and effectively the debt company may well take back the vehicle from you, leaving you with zilch.
